Ingredients
- 2 oz Bourbon
- 3/4 oz Fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 oz Grenadine
- 3/4 oz Simple syrup
- Maraschino Cherry
- Crushed Ice
Method
Combine ingredients in cocktail shaker with crushed ice and shake well. Serve over ice and garnish with a Maraschino Cherry. To really make this drink amazing use your own home made grenadine. And to top it off, add your own Maraschino Cherries!
Good to Know
The whiskey sour is a classic drink. Slightly sweet, tart, sour with a wonderful finish, it's a sipping drink. The classic sour consists of 3/4 oz of fresh squeezed lemon juice, 1 oz simple syrup and 1-1/2 oz of whiskey or bourbon. The Ward 8 adds a touch of grenadine with a bit more spirit.
Note: This original version is quite sweet. If you desire a more tart whiskey sour, try the Fort Ward 8.
