Prep Time

2 large, or 4 small servings

A wonderful fresh salad to enjoy when pears are in season. This receipe calls for “mâche” salad, also known as Corn Salad, or Lamb Salad, which adds a great texture to complement the pears. If you cannot find mâche then try arugula (rocket) instead.

This red wine vinaigrette dressing has a touch of maple syrup, which works great with the pears.

Be sure to make the candied pecans ahead of time, so they are cool to add to the salad.

The Saint Agur blue cheese is wonderful with the pears, but if you cannot find this soft and creamy blue use another blue cheese.
