Candied Pecans | Peri's Place For Recipes


  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
  • Pinch cayenne
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves


  1. In small bowl, mix together sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger, pepper and cayenne.
  2. In medium skillet, combine butter, sugar mixture and pecans.
  3. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar has melted and nuts are coated.
  4. Cool on lightly greased aluminium foil.

Good to Know

This works really well with walnuts, and you can reduce the amount of nuts to 1 cut without changing any of the other ingredients.

Store in an air tight container for up to 2 weeks.
