Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
- Pinch cayenne
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
Method
- In small bowl, mix together sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger, pepper and cayenne.
- In medium skillet, combine butter, sugar mixture and pecans.
- Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar has melted and nuts are coated.
- Cool on lightly greased aluminium foil.
Good to Know
This works really well with walnuts, and you can reduce the amount of nuts to 1 cut without changing any of the other ingredients.
Store in an air tight container for up to 2 weeks.
