Ingredients
- 2 pounds powdered sugar
- 1 cup butter (very soft, not melted)
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 4 cups chopped nuts
- 1 large package coconut
- Dipping chocolate (I like to use Wilton's Candy Melts and I can usually cover the entire batch with 2 bags of chocolate.)
Method
- Mix all ingredients except chocolate.
- Roll into small balls, place on wax paper. Let dry uncovered for at least 8 hours, over night is preferrable.
- Melt chocolate & wax over a double boiler until melted, stir well. Turn temp down on choc and 4-5 at a time, dip coconut balls with 2 forks, tapping as much chocolate off as possible.
- Place back onto wax paper, let sit until chocolate is set.
- Store in air tight container so chocolate does not soften.
Good to Know
You can use any type of dipping chocolate you want. You get a beautiful glossy coconut ball when you use this method though.
