Candied Nuts

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups nut halves (walnuts or pecans)

Preparation

  1. Combine sugars and milk, stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Cook to soft ball stage.
  3. Remove from heat and add vanilla and nuts and stir until mixture begins to harden on the nuts.
  4. Turn onto wax paper and separate nuts.
  5. Store in air tight container so candy does not soften
