- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups nut halves (walnuts or pecans)
- Combine sugars and milk, stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved.
- Cook to soft ball stage.
- Remove from heat and add vanilla and nuts and stir until mixture begins to harden on the nuts.
- Turn onto wax paper and separate nuts.
- Store in air tight container so candy does not soften
