Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp soda
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cup chopped rhubarb
Method
- cream together sugar & shortening
- add egg & vanilla, mix well.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk
- Fold in rhubarb
- Pour into 2 8" greased & floured square pans
- Top with 1/2 cup sugar & 1 tsp cinnamon
