2 Cups Raw almonds, or other nuts, coarsely chopped
2 Cups Raisins or other dried fruit, chopped
Method
Roughly chop the almonds, and measure out the oats into a bowl. Add any other nuts as desired, but keep the dry ingredients to about 7 cups.
In another large bowl whisk together all ingredients except the oil. Then whisk in the oil.
Dump the dry ingredients into the wet, and carefully stir together until all oats and nuts are covered.
Line a half baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the mixture evenly, pressing it down with you hands. (Use a latex glove, or just plastic wrap, to keep your hands clean.)
Bake in a 325 degree oven for about 40 minutes, turning the sheet half way through. This recipe does not call for stirring the oats. Remove from oven when golden brown.
