Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp sugar
Method
- Cream together shortening, sugar and eggs.
- Sift together dry ingredients and combine with the butter/egg mixture.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes
- Roll into balls and then roll in mixture of sugar/cinnamon.
- Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet 8 - 10 minutes until lightly brown but still soft.
