Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 1 3/4 cups shortening
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup ICE COLD water
- 1 egg
- 1 tbs white vinegar
Method
- Mix dry ingredients gently. When the shortening has been incorporated and it looks like small peas, you are done.
- Mix wet ingredients in a measure cup, whisk egg well. Slowly add wet ingredients, you may not need all. Add just enough to bring the dough together.
- Bring into a ball, or divide into discs. Place into a freezer bag, or wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour.
