Caramel Corn

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 6 quarts popcorn


  1. Pop corn and make sure to get all of the unpopped kernels out.
  2. Melt butter. Stir in sugar, syrup and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  3. When at boil, let boil without stirring for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in soda and vanilla.
  5. Pour over popcorn, mix well. Spread on pan and bake 250 for 1 hour. Stirring every 15 minutes.
